Every year in September the Julian Lions Club holds its’ annual Bluegrass Festival with banjo, fiddle contests for all ages to enjoy. The two-day event brings music lovers from all corners of the world that enjoy traditional American music in one of the most idyllic settings in Southern California. The entire family enjoys this event. Proceeds help Julian students achieve scholarships.

In May of each year the Lions have a weekend Mayfest event complete with a real Oom-Pah-Pah band, traditional food, beer, wine, sodas, crafts and maypole activities throughout both days. The entire family also enjoys this event. Proceeds will help Julian students visit Julian’s sister city in Austria each summer.
